Link Oregon is the statewide, middle-mile network in Oregon supporting public and non-profit organizations, including its five founding members - Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), Oregon State University, Portland State University, the University of Oregon, and the State of Oregon (through Enterprise Information Services). Link Oregon connects to Internet2 as well as its neighboring research & education networks - CENIC, Pacific Northwest Gigapop, and IRON. The four research universities listed above utilize Link Oregon extensively for collaborative research and data transfers and together they have formed a statewide research computing consortium for sharing best practices and planning joint services and facilities.
