Biography
Qing joined LANL in 2021 after completing a PhD in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. His research currently focuses on streamlining analytics to help scientists reach insights faster—most recently by exploring compute-near-data architectures and aligning HPC with well-established cloud/big data ecosystems. Qing has contributed to several award-winning efforts including IndexFS (sc best paper), DeltaFS (r&d100), KV-CSD with SK hynix (r&d100), and Mochi composable data services with Argonne National Laboratory (r&d100).
