Alex Main
Biography
Alex Main is a principal R&D engineer at Ansys. He received a PhD from Stanford University working for Charbel Farhat, specializing in multiphysics CFD calculations. He then did a postdoc at Duke University with Guglielmo Scovazzi, where he co-invented the Shifted Boundary Method and embedded boundary class finite element method. He now works as the chief architect on the GPU fluid solver.
