Dr. Plale is the Michael A and Laurie Burns McRobbie Bicentennial Professor of Computer Engineering at Indiana University Bloomington where she additionally serves as the Chair of the Dept of Intelligent Systems Engineering and the Executive Director of Pervasive Technology Institute. Dr. Plale is founding and past director of the HathiTrust Research Center. She served as science advisor at the National Science Foundation (2017-2020) in open science.
