Biography
Elliott Slaughter is a Staff Scientist in the Computer Science Research Department at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Stanford University under the advisorship of Alex Aiken. He is a recipient of the IEEE-CS TCHPC Early Career Researcher Award for Excellence in High Performance Computing. His research interests span programming languages, compilers, parallel computing, and high-performance computing. One of his current projects is Legion, a forward-looking programming system for writing parallel, distributed programs.
