Biography
Dr. Mark Coletti is a computer scientist and a member of the Learning Systems group at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. His research focus is on scaling evolutionary algorithms on HPC platforms with applications that include machine learning model architecture and hyperparameter optimization, ideal placement of solar power plant and carbon capture facilities, and improving distributed complex scientific workflows. He is also a developer of the open-source Library for Evolutionary Algorithms in Python (LEAP) and Gremlin, which won a 2022 R&D 100 Award. Mark received his PhD in computer science from George Mason University in 2014.
