Biography
Allison Baker is a project scientist in the Computational and Information Systems Laboratory at the NSF National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado. She received her BS in mechanical engineering from Rice University and her PhD in applied mathematics from the University of Colorado Boulder. She spent her postdoctoral and early-career years at the Center for Applied Scientific Computing at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Her research interests include high-performance computing, performance analysis, numerical linear algebra, Krylov methods, algebraic multigrid methods, Earth system models, model correctness and verification, and lossy data compression for climate simulation data.
