Biography
Qinglei Cao is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at Saint Louis University (SLU). He earned his PhD in computer science at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) in 2022, mentored by Dr. Jack Dongarra (2021 Turing Award winner) and Dr. George Bosilca. He received his BS from Hunan University in 2009 and his ME from Ocean University of China in 2013. Before joining SLU, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at UTK and as a member of the technical staff at Cerebras Systems. He also served as an HPC software developer at the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT). His research interests include parallel and distributed computing, task-based runtime systems, linear algebra algorithms, and large-scale machine learning and deep learning.
