Biography
Ian Lee is a seasoned cybersecurity leader with over 15 years of experience protecting some of the nation’s most advanced computing environments. He serves as Director of Advanced Computing Solutions at ShorePoint Inc., where he oversees HPC security initiatives and collaborates on federal strategic efforts involving AI, cloud, and critical infrastructure security. Previously, Ian spent nearly 15 years at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he designed resilient security architectures, led HPC security operations and assessments, and authored a DISA STIG for the HPC-focused TOSS operating system.
Ian is the founder and chair of the HPC Security Technical Exchange (STX), a government-wide forum advancing next-generation computing security. A passionate open-source evangelist, mentor, and published presenter, he has shared his expertise at venues including Supercomputing, NIST, SANS, and Elastic conferences. His enduring mission: “to leave things better than I found them, so those around me believe they can make a difference.”
