Jack Stalnaker is an HPC software engineer at Chevron with over 20 years of experience in scientific computing, HPC, and AI/ML. Prior to working at Chevron, Jack was an assistant professor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and later a geophysicist and scientific programmer at various energy companies and startups. His background is in HPC-enabled multi-physics geophysical and geological numerical modeling and inversion. Jack also has over a decade of experience in applying machine learning to solving environmental and energy problems, from unexploded ordnance detection to physics-based modeling with AI.
