Biography
Stefano is the Advanced Computing and Emerging Technologies Group Leader at The Hartree Centre, the UK's only supercomputing and advanced computing centre dedicated to industry engagement. He also holds the position of Emerging Technologies Workstream lead for the Hartree National Centre for Digital Innovation (HNCDI) program, a £210M collaboration between IBM Research and UKRI-STFC.
In these roles, Stefano leads the formulation and implementation of a forward-thinking technical strategy for effectively integrating Emerging Technologies within industry processes, a “plug&play” approach. His responsibilities encompass overseeing the lifecycle of advanced computing projects, as well as the development and integration of cutting-edge software (both classical and quantum) across several key industry domains, including Life Sciences, Healthcare, Logistics, and Manufacturing.
Stefano is Visiting Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Computer Science of The University of Liverpool.
