Biography
Danny Perez obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from the Université de Montréal in Canada in 2006. He then moved to the Theoretical Division of Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Director's Postdoctoral Fellow, before becoming a staff member in 2009. His research centers on the development and application of novel methods for atomic-scale simulations of materials, with an emphasis on long-time behavior. His recent research has been particularly focused on the development of ultra-scalable methods enabling simulations at the peta and exascale. He recently led the EXascale Atomistics for Accuracy, Length, and Time (EXAALT) project, which was supported by the US. DOE Exascale Computing Project to demonstrate innovative applications of molecular dynamics on exascale computers. He is the authors more than 150 papers and has presented 95 invited talks and seminars.
