Biography
Ming Fan, PhD, is a postdoctoral research associate in the Computational Sciences and Engineering Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. His research focuses on the intersection of machine learning (ML), uncertainty quantification, surrogate modeling, inverse modeling, and the development of high-performance computing numerical simulation models in earth sciences. His work also includes developing interpretable ML techniques to gain deeper insights into model predictions and enhance the transparency of AI systems.
