Biography
I work at the University of Western Australia as the HPC Manager. My team helps insure that the researchers at UWA are able to take advantage of research computing facilities available to them here locally, nationally and internationally. Prior to this I fortunate enough to be at IBM Research in the UK and at the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre. I am focusing on helping researchers at the University developing their skill and creating tools to improve their uptake of the resources. I am also one of the founding organisers for the HPC User Support Tools workshop held annually in conjunction with the Supercomputing Conference. I am a register Software Carpentry Training and active in the HPC Carpentry community as well. I am a keen to develop my skills around VMs and containers for new services as well. My academic background is in BSE in Mechanical Engineering and was in the first class for the Masters of Scientific Computing programme at the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden.
