Ignacio Laguna

Biography
Ignacio Laguna is a Computer Scientist at the Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC) at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), California. His main area of research is programming systems in HPC. He is co-organizer of the AI Assisted Software Development for HPC Workshop (AI4DEV) and the Correctness Workshop at SC. Ignacio was the recipient of the ACM/IEEE-CS George Michael Memorial Fellowship in 2011 and the Better Scientific Software (BSSw) Fellowship in 2019. He has received several Best Paper awards, including the Hans Meuer Award for best research paper at both ISC’19 and ISC’23. Ignacio is an advocate of reproducibility; he is the Program Chair of the 2024 ACM Conference on Reproducibility and Replicability (ACM REP '24) and received the Best Reproducibility Advancement Award at SC21.
