Biography
Leah Huk obtained her BS in astronomy and mathematics from San Diego State University in 2006, and her PhD in physics from the University of Denver in 2017. As a computational astrophysicist, she studied core-collapse supernova wind-ejecta interactions during her dissertation, and looked at larger-scale explosion properties arising from primordial low metallicity progenitors during a postdoc at ORNL in the Physics Division working with the Chimera Supernova group. Her work has involved running simulations on multiple large HPC systems over the years, such as Cori (NERSC), Blue Waters (NCSA), and Stampede and Stampede2 (TACC).

Leah now works with the Analytics and Monitoring Team in the HPC Cybersecurity and Information Engineering group to develop tools and administer data management platforms that extract and analyze telemetry, event logs, and system state information.
