Soumyendu is an Artificial Intelligence Senior Distinguished Technologist at Hewlett Packard Labs at HPE and leads research on using machine learning and reinforcement learning for sustainable data centers and clean energy with digital twins. Soumyendu also works on several emerging areas of machine learning and is also a Principal Investigator of US DOE-funded AI research to advance Fusion Energy, as well as HPE's PI on the US Artificial Intelligence Safety Institute Consortium under the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Before joining HPE, Soumyendu was a Distinguished MTS at Bell Labs and a senior manager on the Intel IP team. He has won best paper awards at the NeurIPS '23 Climate Change workshop on Digital Twin for Data Center and IEEE CASE '22 on wave energy converters.
