Biography
Benjamin Priest (they/them) is a Computing Scientist in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Their research interests focus on the intersection of data science and high performance computing. They are particularly interested in streaming and sketching algorithms, graph algorithms, statistical modeling, and machine learning. Their primary research applications are to large graph processing and various space science initiatives, including computational cosmology. They maintain several open source high performance libraries that support Gaussian process modeling, distributed memory communication, dimensionality reduction via sketching, and distributed nearest neighbor inference. https://github.com/bwpriest.
