Biography
Aristeidis Tsaris is a research scientist in large-scale data science and learning at the National Center for Computational Sciences at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Before he joined ORNL, Aristeidis received his PhD in medium energy particle physics from Florida State University, working at Jefferson Lab. He also worked as a postdoc at the Scientific Computing Division at Fermilab, where he contributed to various deep-learning applications for neutrino and collider physics. His research focuses on scalable machine learning scientific applications on leadership class HPC systems, AI foundation models for science, and machine learning/deep learning for computer vision.
