Elisabeth Ortega Carrasco is the manager of the Research, Development and Innovation team of HPCNow! (Do IT Now Alliance). She started her educational journey in 2004 with a BSc in chemistry, an engineer's degree in computer engineering specialized in management, an MSc in theoretical and computational chemistry and a PhD in the same topic, centered on the use of hybrid quantum mechanics/classical mechanics techniques for the study of bioinorganic interactions. Following the same line, she is currently finishing an MSc in quantum computing focused on the integration of quantum computers with HPC resources. Her professional experience is varied and includes system administration, product ownership of scientific software, course instruction in bioinformatics, HPC support, and middle management.
