Biography
I am computational biologist and research assistant professor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical campus. I have a bachelor's degree in molecular, cellular, developmental biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. I also hold a Master's degree in Computer Science and a PhD in developmental biology and genetics, both from the University of New Mexico. After finishing school, I did a post-doc at the University of Chicago with the Institute of Genomics and Systems Biology before moving back to Colorado and taking a software development role at Anschutz Medical campus for developing workflows and code for the Colorado Center for Personalized Medicine Biobank. Currently, I am primarily faculty with the Department of Immunology and Microbiology developing code and analyzing genomic data, as well as leading campus efforts for high performance compute access and teaching students to use HPC and analyze genomic data.
