Biography
Tal Ben-Nun is a staff scientist researching scalable machine learning at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Previously, he was a senior postdoctoral researcher with the Scalable Parallel Computing Laboratory at ETH Zurich. His research interests involve the intersections between high-performance computing, machine learning, and programming languages. His current research includes large-scale foundation model training for scientific computing applications in chemistry and physics; data-centric parallel programming models; and advancing machine comprehension of code via deep learning and partial compilation.
