Kushal Datta is a Member of Technical Staff at Microsoft AI, focused on improving the efficiency and reliability of the infrastructure used for training the foundational AI models. In the past, he has led the submission of top-tier submissions in MLPerf LLM training and contributed to the general availability and productization of Azure's ND H100 v5 virtual machines. Kushal holds a PhD from the University of North Carolina, and a bachelor’s degree from Jadavpur University.
