lya Sharapov is a mathematician specializing in hardware/software co-design and computer architecture. For over two decades he conducted research in algorithm development, workload analysis and optimization for high performance computing and machine learning at Sun Microsystems, Apple, Intel, and Cerebras Systems. He has authored multiple journal and conference publications as well as a book on application optimization for scientific and technical computing. He holds a PhD in mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
