Varuni is an Assistant Computer Scientist in the AI/ML group at Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF). Varuni joined Argonne as a pre-doctoral appointee at the Data Science and Learning division in 2021. Prior to that, she graduated from Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Virginia Tech and has had a long standing career in embedded software. Her research interests include machine learning for large scale scientific applications and high performance computing. She focuses on evaluating various AI frameworks, AI accelerators and helps porting scientific machine learning applications onto these systems in the AI Testbed.
