Biography
Dr. Ada Sedova is a research scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and a member of the Molecular Biophysics Group and the Computational Chemistry and Nanomaterials Sciences Group. Her work focuses on high performance computing, machine learning, bioinformatics and chemical physics. This includes HPC programming environments, simulation and analysis, and integration of deep learning and experiments such as neutron scattering, analytical biophysics and electrochemistry.
Dr. Sedova was a CSEEN postdoctoral research associate in the Scientific Computing Group at the National Center for Computational Sciences, ORNL. She received her PhD with focuses on computational biophysics, bioinformatics, and structural biology from the University at Albany’s Biomedical Sciences Department, a joint program with the New York State Department of Health's Wadsworth Center. She also received a master’s degree in mathematics from the University at Albany’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics with a research focus on stochastic processes in physics and chemistry.
