Biography
Ian Lumsden is a PhD student studying Computer Science at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is a Graduate Research Assistant in the Global Computing Lab advised by Dr. Michela Taufer. In collaboration with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, his work focuses on studying the performance of I/O and data movement, particularly in the context of scientific computing workflows. He is also a developer on LLNL’s Hatchet, Thicket, and DYAD tools, and he is a contributor to several projects at LLNL related to the Flux resource manager.
