Starr works as a Security Researcher, where she focuses on cyberphysical systems. She also dedicates time to mentoring interns and underrepresented students, drawing from her empathy as a civil defender. Her career journey started with advocacy for sexual assault victims, which motivated her to pursue a Master's degree in Cyber Security with a focus on Computer Forensics. During her studies, she conducted research on cybersex trafficking and the strategies used by traffickers, which she later published. In her free time, Starr enjoys outdoor activities with her dogs and spouse.
