Biography
Amber Boehnlein serves as the Associate Director for Computational Science and Technology and Chief Information Officer at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson Lab). In her role, she oversees a broad spectrum of crucial functions including IT and business systems, scientific analysis facilities, high-performance computing, data science, networking infrastructure, and cybersecurity. Under her leadership, the High Performance Data Facility Project was awarded to Jefferson Lab and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) in October 2023, with Boehnlein acting as the interim Project Director. Her responsibilities reflect her extensive expertise and significant impact on advancing computational science and technology in the realm of national research facilities.
