Presenter
Biography
His recent interests are High performance computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) with NVIDIA, AMD and Intel GPUs. For HPC, he has a rich experience in GPU programming models including CUDA, HIP, SYCL, Kokkos, OpenMP, OpenACC, thrust, stdpar, and senders/receivers. As a preparation for the exascale computing, he is highly interested in the performance portability studies. Particularly, he is interested in the potential of asynchronous executions with these programming models. As for AI, he is interested in developing surrogate models for fluid simulation results using convolutional neural networks or transformers. He is also trying to apply generative models to assist fluid simulations. He also has some experience to handle large scale simulation data more than 10 TB with Dask framework to extract some features using Principal Component Analysis (PCA).
