Presenter

Katherine Rasmussen is a Computer Systems Engineer that has leveraged a background in Linguistics when transitioning into working with programming languages. She has experience in language grammars, compiler abstract syntax trees (ASTs) and works in Fortran and C/C++. She works in the Computer Languages and Systems Software (CLaSS) Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory where she is part of the Berkeley Lab team that contributes to LLVM Flang and that is working on a parallel runtime library for Fortran compilers. Additionally, she works on projects to modernize Fortran code and projects using Fortran to do deep learning.
