He has spent most of his career supporting research computing infrastructure. Prior to joining the research computing services team at University of Victoria (and before that, Compute Canada and Digital Research Alliance of Canada), Darren was a member of the team supporting OpenStack at CyVerse, an NSF funded cyberinfrastructure platform based at the University of Arizona. He was also a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at the Duke Center of Genomic and Computational Biology at Duke University.
