Biography
Joel Duah is a junior biology major at Bowie State University and a proud Honors College member as an aspiring scientist with a passion for medicine and diversity in healthcare. He has gained significant research experience through prestigious programs, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Accelerating Therapeutics for Opportunities in Medicine (ATOM) and the NIH Summer Research Preparatory Program. Joel’s work spans computational drug design to ecological energy studies of campus squirrels. As an Organic Chemistry I tutor, he creates comprehensive resources to support fellow students. Passionate about advancing diversity in healthcare, he also volunteered at the first US-based Black in Cancer Conference, helping foster connections among Black scientists and clinicians.
