Biography
Daniel Barry is a data science and engineering PhD student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), advised by Dr. Jack Dongarra. He does research with the Innovative Computing Lab’s Performance Tools group. Daniel received his BS in computer engineering at the University of Tennessee. His research interests include application performance monitoring tools, benchmarking methodologies, optimizing applications, numerical methods for data science, and large-scale data analytics. Daniel has been involved with the HPC community ever since competing with UTK in the 2013 Student Cluster Competition.
