Jeremy Cohen is an advanced research fellow in the Department of Computing and director of Research Software Engineering Strategy at Imperial College London. In 2017, he was awarded a five-year research software engineering (RSE) fellowship, funded by the UK's Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, to work on a range of activities covering community development, training and providing software engineering support to domain researchers through multi-disciplinary research collaborations. Jeremy started and leads both Imperial College London's local research software community and the wider regional Research Software London (RSLondon) community supporting researchers, RSEs and research technology professionals (RTPs) in a variety of roles across the London and South East of England region. His current work focuses on training methods and pathways and on improving awareness, recognition and knowledge of core research software best practices within the research community and how these contribute to high-quality, sustainable and reproducible research outputs.
