Biography
Sven Karlsson is an associate professor in parallel computer architecture at DTU Compute, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He received a PhD from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, in 2004. His research interests are in programming models, architectures, operating systems, and system software for parallel computers. He has more than 60 publications in these fields. Karlsson has been involved in the development of several hardware and software systems that have been commercially exploited. More recently, he has become interested in quantum computing and how it can be integrated with high performance computers. He was a research leader and line manager at Ericsson, where he led work on machine learning and cellular communication. Karlsson has served on numerous conference and workshop program committees and has organized several workshops, including the workshop for Open Source Supercomputing and the Workshop on Post-Exascale Programmability.
