Biography
Amy Roberts is a prominent researcher at the University of Colorado Denver, where her work spans two main areas: exploring energy deposition in low-threshold detectors and developing software solutions for data, software, and analysis challenges within the nuclear physics community and other data-dependent fields. She is an active member of the Cryogenic Dark Matter Search (CDMS) collaboration, renowned for its use of highly sensitive phonon detectors to detect extremely subtle signals. This collaboration is at the forefront of the search for dark matter particles, which are believed to constitute about 80% of the universe's mass but remain elusive to direct detection. Amy’s expertise significantly contributes to advancing our understanding of the unseen forces shaping our universe.
