Dr. Wirawan Purwanto is a computational scientist with the Research and Cloud Computing Group at Old Dominion University. He holds a PhD in physics from the College of William and and Mary. His research interests lie in the applications of high-performance computing (HPC) in scientific simulations and modeling, as well as training the scientific workforce to utilize HPC resources effectively. He is also a member of the HPC Carpentry Steering Committee and a co-author of the DeapSECURE computational training for cybersecurity research.
