Biography
Phil Sakievich is a researcher and computer scientist in the computational fluid dynamics space. He received a PhD in mechanical engineering from Arizona State University in 2017 and joined Sandia shortly thereafter. At Sandia Phil has been involved in software development and analyst work for thermal and fluids based problems. He was a lead developer on the ExaWind code during the Exascale Computing Project. He is the original architect of the Spack-Manager project which has been used to manage the increasingly complex Exawind software stack, and he is leading an effort to apply Spack broadly to DevOps efforts within Sandia National Laboratories.
