Ana Luisa Veroneze Solórzano
Biography
Ana Veroneze Solórzano is a PhD student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northeastern University, advised by Dr. Devesh Tiwari. She obtained her master’s degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and her bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Federal University of Santa Maria, in Brazil. Her research work is in systems characterization and data privacy for HPC systems, with previous experience in load imbalance metrics for scientific applications and performance analysis for distributed machine learning research. During her bachelor’s studies, she received first place at the ACM SRC at the Grace Hopper Celebration (2019); during her master's she received the Palantir Global Impact Scholarship (2021); and during her PhD she was awarded the ACM SIGHPC/Intel Computational & Data Science Fellowship (2022) and the Cadence Latinx Students in Technology Scholarship (2022). She advocates for more diversity in technology, through her NGO Brazilians in Tech.
