Biography
Lúcia Maria de A. Drummond completed her doctorate in systems and computer engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 1994, when she participated in the development team of the first parallel computer in Brazil. The main article of her thesis obtained a prize for stimulating research granted by the Ministry of Science and Technology and Compaq Computer by the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. She is currently a full professor at Fluminense Federal University, Brazil, and her research interests are in high-performance computing and cloud computing. She is a CNPq Researcher, a Brazilian research agency, with more than 100 publications in conferences and journals. She was the Program Chair of the SBAC 2016 and 2020 conferences. She is an associate editor of FGCS and has coordinated several research projects sponsored by Brazilian research agencies as well as by the Brazilian oil company Petrobras, in HPC and cloud areas.
