Kevin Griffin

Biography
Kevin Griffin is a seasoned professional with a rich background in cyber security, AI/ML, scientific visualization, computer graphics, and high-performance computing. Currently serving as a senior developer technology engineer for NVIDIA, Kevin is deeply involved in software development and integration, particularly focusing on scientific visualization applications with NVIDIA's Omniverse platform and ANARI, a high-level API supporting diverse rendering back-ends. Kevin also works with researchers to accelerate their code in the computation and AI/ML space using NVIDIA hardware and software tools.
In addition to his role at NVIDIA, Kevin is the founder and chief technology consultant at KSG Technology Consulting, where he provides strategic advice, mentoring, and solutions related to technology. Notably, he is actively engaged with Tulsa Innovation Labs as an Executive-in-Residence, spearheading initiatives aimed at improving the University of Tulsa Cyber Fellows program, fostering corporate partnerships for commercial research, and supporting Black Tech Street in their mission to rebirth Historic Black Wall Street as a Black innovation economy.
Kevin brings extensive academic and research experience to his professional endeavors. Previously, he served as an associate professor at San Joaquin Delta College and spent over a decade at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he held various roles including HPC solutions executive, VisIt software developer, Weapons Information & Infrastructure Integration Group leader, and co-PI/researcher on various projects.
Before and during his career in industry and academia, Kevin served in the U.S. Army as a communications specialist and in the U.S. Navy Reserves as an Information Warfare Officer, where he played a vital role in supporting naval and joint military operations globally. Kevin also serves as a member of the University of Florida’s CISE Industry Advisory Board.
Kevin holds a PhD in computer science from the University of California, Davis, as well as an MS in computer science from the University of Tulsa as part of the Cyber Corps program, and a BS in computer science from the University of Delaware.
