Advanced Computing for Social Change
DescriptionAdvanced Computing for Social Change (ACSC) is an immersive data science program for undergraduate students from colleges and universities across the United States who want to utilize and enhance their skills to create positive change in their community. The program recruits individuals from diverse disciplines and backgrounds who want to work collaboratively to:
- Learn about data analysis, computational thinking, and social challenges
- Experience the latest tools and techniques for exploring data through visualization
- Expand skills in team-based problem-solving
- Learn how to communicate ideas more effectively to the general public
Students will be assigned to teams to ensure a balance of backgrounds, and professional and near-peer mentors will support each team.
