SUMMARY:Exploring Software-Defined Networking for Routing in Dragonfly Top
 ology
DESCRIPTION:Ram Sharan Chaulagain and Xin Yuan (Florida State University)\
n\nWhile efficient routing in Dragonfly networks presents significant chal
lenges, the advent of Software-defined Networking (SDN) offers new opportu
nities for routing optimization by providing a global network view. This r
esearch proposes an SDN-based adaptive routing approach for Dragonfly inte
rconnects. By leveraging global traffic information from SDN, our approach
identifies and avoids persistent congestion points that may occur with co
nventional UGAL routing, leading to improved resource utilization and enha
nced performance. This study addresses a critical gap in the development o
f efficient adaptive routing solutions using SDN technology.\n\nRegistrati
