SUMMARY:Are We Doing the Right Thing? The ETP4HPC and HPC4EI Programs on B
 est Practices for Bringing HPC Resources to Industry
DESCRIPTION:Sai Narasimhamurthy (ETP4HPC, the European HPC Technology Plat
 form; ParTec AG, Germany); Aaron Fisher (Lawrence Livermore National Labor
 atory (LLNL), High Performance Computing for Energy Innovation (HPC4EI));
 Ramanan Sankaran (Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), High Performance C
 omputing for Energy Innovation (HPC4EI)); Jean-Marc Denis (CGG/Viridien SA
 S); Oriol Pineda (Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC)); and Umesh Paliat
 h (GE Research)\n\nThe needs of industrial users are special in that they
 are characterised by the diversity of their pricing, access timing, securi
 ty, licensing, and data management requirements. \n\nETP4HPC of Europe and
  HPC4EI of the U.S. are in the process of collecting the characteristics o
 f such needs, together with best practices in meeting them. \n\nThis BoF a
 ims at sharing the European and U.S. expertise and juxtaposing it against
 the experiences of other industrial users, service providers, and access p
 rograms.\n\nThe two organizations will produce a public repository of best
  practices that will be available on the website of ETP4HPC.\n\nRegistrati
