SUMMARY:OpenSHMEM: Version 1.6 and Next Frontiers
DESCRIPTION:Steve Poole (Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL)), Oscar Her
nandez (Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL)), Jim Dinan (NVIDIA Corporati
on), Yanfei Guo (Argonne National Laboratory (ANL)), Aaron Welch (Oak Ridg
e National Laboratory (ORNL)), Michael Beebe (Texas Tech University), Benj
amin Michalowicz (The Ohio State University), Chris Taylor (Tactical Compu
ting Laboratories), and Md W. Rahman (Intel Corporation)\n\nOpenSHMEM is a
PGAS API for single-sided asynchronous scalable communications in HPC app
lications. OpenSHMEM is a community-driven standard for this API across mu
ltiple architectures/implementations. This BoF brings together the OpenSHM
EM community to present the latest accomplishments since the release of th
e 1.5 specification, and discuss future directions for the OpenSHMEM commu
nity as we develop version 1.6 and beyond. The BoF will consist of talks f
rom end-users, implementers, middleware and tool developers to discuss the
ir experiences and plans for using OpenSHMEM. We will then open the floor
for discussion of the specification and our mid- to long-term goals.\n\nRe
gistration Category: Tech Program Reg Pass, Exhibits Reg Pass\n\n
