SUMMARY:HDF5 for Machine Learning on HPC Systems
DESCRIPTION:Dana Robinson (The HDF Group); Suren Byna (The Ohio State Univ
ersity); John Mainzer (Lifeboat, LLC); and Quincey Koziol (NVIDIA Corporat
ion)\n\nHDF5 is a critical I/O library that has been used ubiquitously in
HPC for over 25 years. HDF5 can be adapted to machine learning (ML) workfl
ows, but may require changes to common HPC I/O usage. This BoF will bring
HDF5 developers, machine learning experts, and interested community member
s together to discuss best practices when using HDF5 for ML on HPC systems
. We will begin with a panel of experts, focusing on HDF5 features related
to AI/ML and discuss using HDF5 in AI/ML applications. We will then invit
e the audience to share experiences and ask questions.\n\nRegistration Cat
