SUMMARY:HPC Network Digital Twins
DESCRIPTION:Puneet Sharma (Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE))\n\nAs HPC sys
tems go beyond Exascale, the connectivity between various CPUs, GPUs and o
ther accelerators has to be carefully managed and orchestrated for extract
ing optimal performance from respective systems. Performant network operat
ions also need to address the scale and heterogeneity of compute elements
as well as workloads (simulations, AI/ML etc.) in HPC systems. In this tal
k, I will share some reasons why Network Digital Twins have become a neces
sity for efficient HPCOps. We will also discuss requirements and challenge
s for building a HPC Network Digital Twin.\n\nTag: Emerging Technologies,
Modeling and Simulation, Scientific and Information Visualization\n\nRegis
tration Category: Workshop Reg Pass\n\nSession Chairs: Wesley Brewer (Oak
Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL)); Barton Fiske (NVIDIA Corporation); Elis
abeth Mayer (Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ)); Peter Messmer (NVIDIA C
orporation); and Andrea Townsend-Nicholson (University College London (UCL
); University College London (UCL) Division of Biosciences, Research Depar
tment of Structural & Molecular Biology)\n\n
