SUMMARY:ISAV 2024: In Situ Infrastructures for Enabling Extreme-Scale Anal
 ysis and Visualization
DESCRIPTION:As HPC platforms and applications increase significantly in si
 ze, complexity, and heterogeneity, one major challenge is the widening gap
  between computation and our ability to gain insight from extreme-scale da
 ta and make timely, data-driven decisions. A well-known, challenging appro
 ach is in situ processing– performing as much analysis as possible while c
 omputed data stays resident in memory. ISAV goes one step further: in its 
 10th year, in situ analysis has evolved from research efforts to a central
  component in supercomputer, cloud and edge applications. ISAV is a commun
 ity of developers, practitioners, researchers, and users of in situ method
 s and infrastructure, connecting industry, government, and academia across
  all career levels. Through presentations and discussions of research find
 ings, lessons learned, and early ideas, ISAV illuminates new requirements 
 driven by science and engineering applications and fosters the community m
 embers and knowledge base around development and application of in situ me
