SUMMARY:A Flang Plugin for Fortran Feature Characterization
DESCRIPTION:Anthony Cabrera (Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Washing
 ton University in Saint Louis) and David Bernholdt (Oak Ridge National Lab
 oratory (ORNL))\n\nAs new compute systems are developed, there is still a 
 need to compile Fortran for execution on  leading edge systems.\nIn order 
 to achieve this, compilers are continuously under development.\nThough the
  specification of Fortran is extensive, it is helpful to prioritize the de
 velopment of key features of desired applications to get to execute them a
 s soon as possible.\nIdentifying key features largely done through queryin
 g software experts, who then manually report on which features key feature
 s are present.\nThis is both time consuming and error prone.\nTo automate 
 this, we present a compiler plugin to Flang that operates on a program's p
 arse tree representation and detects key features.\nWe show the result of 
 our tool on four applications.\nWe show the discrepancies between our tool
  and the manual characterization of three of the applications, as well as 
 generate a characterization for an application not yet profiled.\n\nTag: C
